Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks (Chester, MT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chinook Beeters (Chinook, MT), 67-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Chester-Joplin-Inverness upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to North Toole County (Sunburst, MT) to play the Refiners in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Refiners go into the bout with a record of 5-5. North Toole County won 65-36 in their recent league bout against Valier (Valier, MT)

Next up, the Beeters confront the Hays-Lodge Pole Thunder Birds (Hays, MT) in a C District 9 challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Chinook will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Thunder Birds come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 62-49 league loss to Fort Benton (Fort Benton, MT).
