The Mason Comets (Mason, OH) basketball crushed the visiting Colerain Cardinals (Cincinnati, OH), 56-31 in Friday's league test.

The Comets (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH). The Thunderhawks go into the Greater Miami test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Lakota East was trounced by Fairfield (Fairfield, OH), 51-47, in a league test.

The Cardinals now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they host Oak Hills for a Greater Miami test on Tuesday, January 31. Colerain will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 54-51 league win over Lakota West (West Chester, OH). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-10.
