Industrial Cobras (Vanderbilt, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX), 51-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Industrial upgrades its record to 19-7 on the season. The Cobras host Edna (Edna, TX) to clash with the Cowboys in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 13-2. Edna won 66-27 in their recent league bout against Palacios (Palacios, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Hallettsville Brahmas (Hallettsville, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 19-5 season record. The Brahmas go into the bout with a 11-16 record after their 58-51 league win over Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX).
