Coosa Valley Academy Rebels (Harpersville, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hooper Academy Colts (Hope Hull, AL), 74-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Coosa Valley Academy upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season.

Next up, the Colts play the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights (Cecil, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Hooper Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 20-5 record after their 57-44 league win over Valiant Cross Academy (Montgomery, AL).
