Edgewood Academy Wildcats (Elmore, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Crenshaw Christian Academy Cougars (Luverne, AL), 59-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Edgewood Academy upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Wildcats host Lowndes Academy (Lowndesboro, AL) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Lowndes Academy won 65-30 in their recent league bout against Crenshaw Christian Academy (Luverne, AL)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals (Abbeville, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 30. Crenshaw Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 14-7 record after their 69-45 non-league loss to Glenwood (Phenix City, AL).
