Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Watkins Mill Wolverines (Gaithersburg, MD), 72-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Damascus upgrades its record to 16-0 on the season. The Hornets host Northwest (Germantown, MD) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Monday, January 30. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Northwest lost 63-59 in their recent non-league bout against Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Clarksburg Coyotes (Clarksburg, MD) in a Montgomery 4A West bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Watkins Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record.
