The Dawson Dragons basketball team (Welch, TX), was nudged 1-0 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX)
The Longhorns now possess a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grady for a 1A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Loop will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 50-36 league win over Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-5.
The Dragons (2-12) will now prepare for their battle against Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Cougars come into the 1A Region I District 8 battle with a 5-9 record.
