Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Dayton Broncos (Dayton, TX), 71-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Nacogdoches upgrades its record to 17-11 on the season. The Dragons travel to Huntsville (Huntsville, TX) to play the Hornets in a 5A Region II District 16 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 4-15. Huntsville lost 57-45 in their recent league bout against Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX)

Next up, the Broncos play the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Dayton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-20 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 28-3 record after their 54-44 league win over Porter (Porter, TX).
