Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Seymour Warriors (Seymour, IA), 65-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Diagonal upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Maroons travel to Orient-Macksburg (Orient, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a Bluegrass bout on Monday, January 30. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-5. Orient-Macksburg lost 49-39 in their recent league bout against Twin Cedars (Bussey, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the East Union Eagles (Afton, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Seymour will attempt to move on its 5-9 season record.
