North Linn Lynx (Troy Mills, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Buchanan Buccaneers (Winthrop, IA), 78-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Linn upgrades its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Lynx travel to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 12-3. Mt. Vernon won 55-44 in their recent non-league bout against Independence (Independence, IA)

Next up, the Buccaneers play the Central City Wildcats (Central City, IA) in a Tri-Rivers bout, on Tuesday, January 31. East Buchanan will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 71-58 league loss to Alburnett (Alburnett, IA).
