The Essex Hornets basketball team (Essex Junction, VT), was toppled 55-37 in Friday's league battle with the visiting St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT)
The Hilltoppers now possess a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Champlain Valley Union for a Metro battle on Monday, January 30. St. Johnsbury Academy will confront a Redhawks team coming off a 51-31 league win over Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT). The Redhawks record now stands at 12-1.
The Hornets (6-9) will now prepare for their battle against South Burlington (South Burlington, VT). The Wolves come into the Metro battle with a 10-5 record.
