California High School Basketball - Etna succumbs to Weed

January 27, 2023: Weed, CA 96094

The Weed Cougars topped the visiting Etna Lions basketball team by a final score of 70-57 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Modoc Braves (Alturas, CA) in a Shasta Cascade game, on Tuesday, January 31. Weed will attempt to move on its 16-5 season record. The Braves enter the game with a 4-18 record after their 75-45 league loss to Trinity (Weaverville, CA).

With the defeat, Etna moves to 9-10 on the year. The Lions host Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA) to face the Bears in a Shasta Cascade game on Tuesday, January 31. The Bears enter the game with a record of 11-10. Mt. Shasta won 70-44 in their recent league game against Fall River (McArthur, CA)
