Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Fountain Lake Cobras (Hot Springs National Park, AR) and the host Waldron Bulldogs (Waldron, AR), saw Fountain Lake's basketball squad hold off Waldron by a count of 57-50.

With the victory, Fountain Lake upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Cobras host Clarksville (Clarksville, AR) to play the Panthers in a 4A Region 4 challenge on Wednesday, February 1. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-14. Clarksville lost 61-37 in their recent league challenge against Dardanelle (Dardanelle, AR)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Subiaco Academy Trojans (Subiaco, AR) in a 4A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Waldron will attempt to upgrade on its 17-7 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 4-15 record after their 57-47 league loss to Ozark (Ozark, AR).
