The Penn-Trafford Warriors (Harrison City, PA) basketball felled the host Franklin Regional Panthers (Murrysville, PA), 55-40 in Friday's league test.

The Warriors (4-14) will now prepare for their test against Gateway (Monroeville, PA). The Gators go into the WPIAL 5A 3 test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Gateway was beaten by McKeesport (McKeesport, PA), 68-62, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 11-8 record. They play next when they host Belle Vernon for a non-league test on Saturday, January 28. Franklin Regional will encounter a Leopards squad coming off a 59-52 league win over Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Leopards record now stands at 7-6.
