Fans at Friday's league challenge between the McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) and the visiting General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA), saw McDowell's basketball squad knock off General McLane by a count of 63-50.

With the victory, McDowell upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Erie (Erie, PA) to play the Royals in a District 10 Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Erie lost 53-48 in their recent league challenge against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA)

Next up, the Lancers play the Meadville Bulldogs (Meadville, PA) in a District 10 Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. General McLane will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 75-36 league win over Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA).
