South Carolina High School Basketball - Waccamaw edges Georgetown

January 27, 2023: Pawley's Island, SC 29585

The Waccamaw Warriors (Pawley's Island, SC) basketball nipped the visiting Georgetown Bulldogs (Georgetown, SC), 49-44 in Friday's league test.

The Warriors (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Loris (Loris, SC). The Lions go into the AAA Region 7 test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Loris got by Dillon (Dillon, SC), 67-53, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Manning for a AAA Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 31. Georgetown will encounter a Monarchs squad coming off a 78-42 league win over Aynor (Aynor, SC). The Monarchs record now stands at 16-4.
