Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Gladwin Flying G's (Gladwin, MI) and the host Meridian Mustangs (Sanford, MI), witnessed Gladwin's basketball squad nip Meridian by a margin of 33-32.

The Flying G's (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Clare (Clare, MI). The Pioneers go into the Jack Pine test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Clare was tipped by Shepherd (Shepherd, MI), 44-34, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Shepherd for a Jack Pine test on Wednesday, February 1. Meridian will encounter a Bluejays squad coming off a 44-34 league win over Clare (Clare, MI). The Bluejays record now stands at 13-1.
