Providence Christian Academy LIONS (Murfreesboro, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Grace Christian Academy Lions (Franklin, TN), 50-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Providence Christian Academy upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The LIONS host University School of Nashville (Nashville, TN) to play the Tigers in a Division II-A Middle District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 7-11. University School of Nashville lost 58-38 in their recent league bout against Battle Ground Academy (Franklin, TN)

Next up, the Lions play the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars (Murfreesboro, TN) in a Division II-A Middle District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Grace Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 3-19 record after their 60-55 league loss to Franklin Road Academy (Nashville, TN).
