Louisiana High School Basketball - Welsh trounces Grand Lake

The Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) basketball crushed the visiting Grand Lake Hornets (Lake Charles, LA), 71-29 in Friday's league test.

The Greyhounds (15-7) will now prepare for their test against DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA). The Tigers go into the 2A District 5 test with a 3-15 record. In their last test, DeQuincy was trounced by Vinton (Vinton, LA), 52-35, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Sam Houston for a non-league test on Monday, January 30. Grand Lake will encounter a Broncos squad coming off a 54-41 league loss to Comeaux (Lafayette, LA). The Broncos record now stands at 11-9.
