The Martinsville Bulldogs basketball team (Martinsville, VA), was nudged 36-35 in Friday's league battle with the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA)

The Comets now possess a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Magna Vista for a Piedmont battle on Monday, January 30. Halifax County will battle a Warriors team coming off a 84-75 league loss to Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-14.

The Bulldogs (7-10) will now prepare for their battle against Graham (Bluefield, VA). The G-Men come into the non-league battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Graham was nudged by Richlands (Richlands, VA), 61-32, in a league battle.
