Maxwell Panthers (Maxwell, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hamilton Braves (Hamilton City, CA), 57-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Maxwell upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Panthers host Williams (Williams, CA) to play the Yellowjackets in a Mid-Valley bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 15-6. Williams won 85-46 in their recent league bout against Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA)

Next up, the Braves play the Biggs Wolverines (Biggs, CA) in a Mid-Valley bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Hamilton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 7-13 record after their 63-33 league win over CORE Butte (Chico, CA).
