The McCann Tech Hornets basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Hampden Charter School of Science to 53 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to John J. Duggan Academy for a Tri-County - North contest on Tuesday, January 31. McCann Tech will battle a team coming off a 75-67 league loss to Mount Everett Regional (Sheffield, MA). The record now stands at 10-2.

The (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Westfield Technical Academy (Westfield, MA). The Tigers enter the Tri-County - North contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Westfield Technical Academy was nudged by Ludlow (Ludlow, MA), 59-36, in a league contest.
