Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) and the host Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (Hamshire, TX), saw Hardin-Jefferson's basketball squad overcome Hamshire-Fannett by a tally of 58-45.

With the victory, Hardin-Jefferson improves its record to 23-5 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Hargrave (Huffman, TX) to confront the Falcons in a 4A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 16-10. Hargrave won 54-51 in their recent league challenge against Liberty (Liberty, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns confront the Livingston Lions (Livingston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Hamshire-Fannett will attempt to improve on its 24-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 10-17 record after their 64-57 league win over Splendora (Splendora, TX).
