South Greene Rebels (Greeneville, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Happy Valley Warriors (Elizabethton, TN), 91-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Greene upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Johnson County (Mountain City, TN) to play the Longhorns in a 2A District 1 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Longhorns come into the bout with a record of 10-10. Johnson County won 48-40 in their recent league bout against Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN)

Next up, the Warriors play the West Greene Buffaloes (Mosheim, TN) in a 2A District 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Happy Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 57-56 non-league loss to North Greene (Greeneville, TN).
