Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA), 77-63 in a league bout.

With the victory, Heritage upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Manor (Portsmouth, VA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 9-8. Manor won 53-27 in their recent league bout against Granby (Norfolk, VA)

Next up, the Phantoms play the Jamestown Eagles (Williamsburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Phoebus will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 48-47 league loss to Tabb (Yorktown, VA).
