The Perry-Lecompton Kaws (Perry, KS) basketball crushed the visiting Hiawatha Red Hawks (Hiawatha, KS), 65-42 in Friday's non-league test.
The Kaws (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Jefferson West (Meriden, KS). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Jefferson West was trounced by Atchison (Atchison, KS), 66-36, in a non-league test.
The Red Hawks now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to Nemaha Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Hiawatha will encounter a Thunder squad coming off a 52-44 non-league loss to Marysville (Marysville, KS). The Thunder record now stands at 6-7.
