West Catholic Falcons (Grand Rapids, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Holland Christian Maroons (Holland, MI), 48-31 in a league bout.

With the win, West Catholic upgrades its record to 2-10 on the season. The Falcons host Mattawan (Mattawan, MI) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 11-0. Mattawan won 50-49 in their recent league bout against Portage Northern (Portage, MI)

Next up, the Maroons clash with the Wyoming Wolves (Wyoming, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Holland Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 82-78 league win over Zeeland East (Zeeland, MI).
