Tennessee High School Basketball - McMinn County trounces Howard Tech

The McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN) basketball crushed the host Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers (Chattanooga, TN), 87-47 in Friday's league test.
The Cherokees (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN). The Chiefs go into the non-league test with a 5-16 record. In their last test, Sequoyah was trounced by South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN), 55-45, in a league test.
The Hustlin' Tigers now own a 3-15 record. They play next when they travel to Walker Valley for a 4A District 5 test on Tuesday, January 31. Howard Tech will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 65-39 league win over Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-8.
