The John Marshall Rockets basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the host Winona Winhawks to 45 in the Rockets non-league victory on Friday.
The Rockets now sport a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mayo for a AAAA Section 1 contest on Tuesday, January 31. John Marshall will battle a Spartans team coming off a 83-54 non-league win over Faribault (Faribault, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 12-4.
The Winhawks (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Byron (Byron, MN). The Bears come into the AAA Section 1 contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Byron was defeated by Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Zumbrota, MN), 83-82, in a non-league contest.
