Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes (Zeigler, IL), 58-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Johnston City upgrades its record to 14-9 on the campaign. The Indians host Wayne City (Wayne City, IL) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 17-5. Wayne City won 52-50 in their recent non-league bout against Edwards County (Albion, IL)

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Egyptian Pharaohs (Tamms, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Zeigler-Royalton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Pharaohs come into the bout with a 3-19 record after their 84-74 non-league loss to Cairo (Cairo, IL).
