The Plainfield East Bengals basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Joliet Central Steelmen to 45 in the Bengals league triumph on Friday.
The Bengals now sport a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waubonsie Valley for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. Plainfield East will battle a Warriors team coming off a 64-41 league win over Metea Valley (Aurora, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 12-10.
The Steelmen (6-20) will now prepare for their contest against Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Porters enter the non-league contest with a 14-10 record. In their last contest, Lockport was defeated by Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL), 51-46, in a league contest.
