The Thornton Wildcats basketball team (Harvey, IL), was toppled 56-45 in Friday's league battle with the host Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL)

The Kays now possess a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bloom for a Southland battle on Tuesday, January 31. Kankakee will confront a Blazing Trojan team coming off a 55-50 league loss to Thornwood (South Holland, IL). The Blazing Trojan record now stands at 14-7.

The Wildcats (10-10) will now prepare for their battle against Brooks (Chicago, IL). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 10-10 record.
