The King Philip Regional Warriors basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Taunton Tigers to 51 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.

The Warriors now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mansfield for a Hockomock contest on Tuesday, January 31. King Philip Regional will battle a Hornets team coming off a 69-43 league win over Canton (Canton, MA). The Hornets record now stands at 14-1.

The Tigers (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against New Bedford (New Bedford, MA). The Whalers enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, New Bedford ran past Barnstable (Hyannis, MA), 68-61, in a non-league contest.
