Liberty Lions (Sykesville, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Winters Mill Falcons (Westminster, MD), 72-70 in a league bout.

With the victory, Liberty upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to South Carroll (Sykesville, MD) to play the Cavaliers in a Carroll County bout on Friday, February 3. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 4-10. South Carroll won 51-46 in their recent non-league bout against Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD)

Next up, the Falcons play the Manchester Valley Mavericks (Manchester, MD) in a Carroll County bout, on Monday, February 6. Winters Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record.
