Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Manor Mustangs (Manor, TX), 65-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Vandegrift upgrades its record to 19-10 on the season. The Vipers travel to McNeil (Austin, TX) to play the Mavericks in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 7-21. McNeil lost 50-49 in their recent league bout against Vista Ridge (Cedar Park, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Round Rock Dragons (Round Rock, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Manor will attempt to upgrade on its 20-9 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 19-9 record after their 45-43 league loss to Stony Point (Round Rock, TX).
