Illinois High School Basketball - Saint Viator can't hold off Marist

The Marist RedHawks basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Saint Viator Lions to 49 in the RedHawks league triumph on Friday.

The RedHawks now sport a 20-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carmel for a East Suburban Catholic contest on Tuesday, January 31. Marist will battle a Corsairs team coming off a 23-19 league win over Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL). The Corsairs record now stands at 10-16.

The Lions (10-14) will now prepare for their contest against Mundelein (Mundelein, IL). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 10-13 record. In their last contest, Mundelein was nudged by Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL), 47-38, in a league contest.
