Virginia High School Basketball - Middlesex trounces Mathews

January 27, 2023: Saluda, VA 23149

The Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), 82-48 in Friday's league test.

The Chargers (16-2) will now prepare for their test against Charles City (Charles City, VA). The Panthers go into the Tidewater test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Charles City was trounced by Northampton (Eastville, VA), 91-48, in a non-league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Carver College and Career Academy for a Tidewater test on Tuesday, January 31. Mathews will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 107-30 league win over West Point (West Point, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 15-2.
