North Carolina High School Basketball - Monroe can't hold off Parkwood

The Monroe Redhawks basketball team (Monroe, NC), was nudged 51-48 in Friday's league battle with the host Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC)

The Wolf Pack now possess a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forest Hills for a 2A/3A Conference 44 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Parkwood will battle a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 74-62 league loss to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 6-14.

The Redhawks (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cougars come into the 2A/3A Conference 44 battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Central Academy was nudged by Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 73-64, in a league battle.
