Prospect Mountain Timberwolves (Alton, NH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Newfound Regional Bears (Bristol, NH), 46-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Prospect Mountain upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Timberwolves travel to Gilford (Gilford, NH) to play the Golden Eagles in a Division III bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 13-0. Gilford won 60-43 in their recent league bout against Conant (Jaffrey, NH)

Next up, the Bears play the Berlin Mountaineers (Berlin, NH) in a Division III bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Newfound Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 84-37 league loss to Gilford (Gilford, NH).
