The Seward Seahawks (Seward, AK) basketball nipped the visiting Nikiski Bulldogs (Nikiski, AK), 44-39 in Friday's league test.
The Seahawks (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Grace Christian (Anchorage, AK). The Grizzlies go into the 3A Peninsula test with a 12-2 record. In their last test, Grace Christian got by Houston (Big Lake, AK), 68-47, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Kenai Central for a 3A Peninsula test on Tuesday, January 31. Nikiski will encounter a Kardinals squad coming off a 58-47 non-league loss to Juneau-Douglas (Juneau, AK). The Kardinals record now stands at 8-6.
