Wheeler Wildcats (Marietta, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting North Cobb Warriors (Kennesaw, GA), 68-61 in a league bout.

With the win, Wheeler upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Wildcats host Osborne (Marietta, GA) to clash with the Cardinals in a AAAAAAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 13-7. Osborne lost 67-57 in their recent non-league bout against Grayson (Loganville, GA)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. North Cobb will attempt to upgrade on its 16-4 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 48-41 league loss to Walton (Marietta, GA).
