In Friday's league match, the host Southeast Whitfield County Raiders basketball team scored a tight 65-64 triumph over the Northwest Whitfield Bruins.

In their next game, the Raiders meet the Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 28. Southeast Whitfield County will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Bobcats enter the match with a 13-7 record after their 71-46 league win over Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA).
