The Oakmont Regional Spartans basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Westborough Rangers to 53 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marlborough for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Oakmont Regional will battle a Panthers team coming off a 82-54 league loss to Nashoba Regional (Bolton, MA). The Panthers record now stands at 1-9.

The Rangers (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against North Middlesex Regional (Townsend, MA). The Patriots enter the Midland-Wachusett B contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, North Middlesex Regional was defeated by Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, MA), 79-57, in a non-league contest.
