The Wildcats come into the battle with a 6-10 record after their 49-36 league win over Ore City (Ore City, TX).

The Rebels (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against McLeod (McLeod, TX). The Longhorns come into the 2A Region III District 21 battle with a 20-9 record. In their last battle, McLeod trounced Hawkins (Hawkins, TX), 46-35, in a league battle.
