Palmer Bulldogs (Palmer, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Scurry-Rosser Wildcats (Scurry, TX), 53-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Palmer upgrades its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Rice (Rice, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-17. Rice lost 70-46 in their recent league bout against Eustace (Eustace, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Kemp Yellowjackets (Kemp, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Scurry-Rosser will attempt to upgrade on its 14-10 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 17-10 record after their 60-44 league win over Mildred (Corsicana, TX).
