Peters Township Indians (McMurray, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (Jefferson Hills, PA), 83-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Peters Township upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Indians host Connellsville (Connellsville, PA) to play the Falcons in a WPIAL 5A 1 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 2-16.

Next up, the Jaguars play the Brashear Bulls (Pittsburgh, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Bulls go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 53-39 league loss to Obama Academy of International Studies (Pittsburgh, PA).
