North Carolina High School Basketball - South Caldwell knocked off by Watauga

The Watauga Pioneers basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting South Caldwell Spartans to 45 in the Pioneers league triumph on Friday.

The Pioneers now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reagan for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. Watauga will meet a Raiders team coming off a 51-50 league loss to Davie (Mocksville, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 12-7.

The Spartans (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots enter the 3A/4A Conference 52 contest with a 15-4 record. In their last contest, Freedom ran past Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 62-52, in a league contest.
