The University Hawks basketball team (Morgantown, WV), was nudged 79-72 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV)
The Cardinals now possess a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington for a Eastern Panhandle battle on Tuesday, January 31. Spring Mills will battle a Patriots team coming off a 63-24 league loss to Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 2-11.
The Hawks (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Musselman (Inwood, WV). The Applemen come into the non-league battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Musselman edged Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV), 65-60, in a league battle.
