In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Afton Eagles basketball squad scored a nice 37-25 victory over the Caney Valley Trojans.
With the victory, Afton upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Fairland (Fairland, OK) to play the Owls in a Lucky Seven challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Owls come into the challenge with a record of 4-1.
Next up, the Trojans play the Oklahoma Union Cougars (South Coffeyville, OK) in a Northeast Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Caney Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 37-24 league loss to Chelsea (Chelsea, OK).
