Almont Raiders (Almont, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Imlay City Spartans (Imlay City, MI), 36-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Almont upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to North Branch (North Branch, MI) to play the Broncos in a Blue Water Area bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Broncos come into the bout with a record of 13-1. North Branch won 36-25 in their recent league bout against Yale (Yale, MI)

Next up, the Spartans play the Armada Tigers (Armada, MI) in a Blue Water Area bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Imlay City will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 50-48 league loss to Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI).
